Hey Peter Bosz, play Pulisic in the middle (thoughts on Borussia Dortmund vs. Apoel Nicosia)

This morning I got up to rain and wind here in Seattle. I should've known it was a presage of things to come. I went to the grocery store and had tea and wrote some letters. Basically, I was trying to kill time until 11:45am Pacific time, when Champions League started.

And then it started. I'd downloaded Sling TV to be able to watch ESPN 3 and Borussia Dortmund vs. Apoel Nicosia, one of the top Cypriot clubs. The good thing about watching this game was I got to learn the word "Cypriot." The bad thing is it was an absolute abortion.

A few times during the first half I actually said, in a loud voice in my living room, "This is an abortion."

Other things I said:

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?" -- when Götze, Bartra, Yarmolenko, Toprak, Auba, Pulisic and Kagawa gave away the ball time after time after time.

"YOU ARE FUCKING OLD AND SLOW." -- when Yarmolenko could've easily gotten to a ball but was too, well, old and slow

"GET OFF THE GROUND OR GET OFF THE FUCKING FIELD." -- when the Apoel players went to the ground one of myriad times throughout the game and rolled around in "agony."

"THIS IS WHAT AN ABORTION LOOKS LIKE." -- when I could take the giveaways and the back passes to Bürki who would then give it away no longer

Now granted, the second half was a little better. Pulisic, for one, played better in the second half, creating more chances. But is it just me or has he looked more tentative lately??????? Is Bosz messing with his game??????? What is going on? Where was the Pulisic who only appeared in the final seconds of this game when he got a ball in his own final third, sprinted the ENTIRE length of the field, and then placed the ball perfectly at Aubameyang's head who couldn't quite finish (and then Bartra COMPLETELY fucked it up).

Argh.

Please, Peter Bosz, the next game that ACTUALLY MEANS SOMETHING, i.e. Bayern Munich, START PULISIC. If you don't you might just crush the confidence of your best player, since you seem to be trying to do that already.

Anyway. Anyway. I'll calm down. Pulisic's confidence cannot be crushed. That's precisely what makes him so special.

So now I will watch Real Madrid vs. Tottenham, since I DVR'd it and still don't know who won, thought I suspect the liars over at Real Madrid since I saw a picture of Cristiano Ronaldo on my YouTube and instantly turned it off to avoid spoilers.

Bosz, figure this shit out. Play Pulisic in the middle.

That is all I have to say.

Christian Pulisic Misses Salzburg Match with Non-Terminal Illness

Dortmund rolled into Salzburg today to compete for a spot in the Europa League Round of 8 conspicuously absent one key player. Looks like Pulisic has flu and Toprak is out with a muscle problem #BVB #FCSBVB https://t.co/9bJfnfO7si — BVB Buzz (@BVBBuzz) March 15, 2018 Christian Pulisic apparently has the flu, which I don't believe, since I don't believe Christian Pulisic gets sick. I mean, Michael Jordan played through the flu before, and I'm not comparing CP to Michael Jordan, but the kid can dunk.  Pulisic: People doubt me, but I can dunk! https://t.co/I8oSqWO7M3 !?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter pic.twitter.com/WSMKf5kZcs — Dave Masters (@davemasters) January 11, 2018 (I dunked once in warm-ups before a rec league basketball game in high school. It was the only time I ever dunked in my illustrious basketball career. Most of the other times I stuck to left-handed layups.) Dortmund played the opposite of good today, which, unless my English fai...

The Only Blog Devoted to Christian Pulisic

Guys, I have to admit something, and I don't think you're going to like it: I don't Google Pulisic that much anymore. I used to Google him at least 5-10 times a day. But now every time I Google him the same shit comes up: transfer rumors. And I don't want to hear about Pulisic transfer rumors. I just want to read about what Christian Pulisic does when he actually touches the ball. Because that's the purest thing about being a Pulisic fan, watching him straight beat someone one on one, or one on two, or one on four. Apparently it hasn't been happening a lot lately. I haven't gotten to watch the games in their entirety since I've been working. And I could go back and watch them in their entirety on same ghetto-ass Russian site, but it's tough when you already know what the score is and who scored the goals and at exactly what time. So I've missed Dortmund games lately. Which is messed up. I feel like I'm cheating on the team or something. Ev...

Panama prep, a Michael Bradley "highlight" video

Yesterday my roommate and I were talking about how terrible Michael Bradley is and how he shouldn't even be on the USMNT when my roommate said, "Let's just watch a Michael Bradley video. Let's see the best he's capable of." My first reaction, of course, was, "There is no thing on earth I would less rather do. I would literally rather get my arm run over by a bus than watch a Michael Bradley highlight video. What would a Michael Bradley highlight even be? Four minutes of back passes? Him shaving his head?" But then we were sitting there on the couch and bored and had watched enough South Park and after showing my roommate this video:  The #USMNT arrives for day 1️⃣ of training ahead of #USAvPAN on Friday. pic.twitter.com/7Hb29AIP6t — U.S. Soccer (@ussoccer) October 2, 2017 (who's the last player to walk into the frame, looking lost and confused and maybe even a bit depressed?) I said, "OK, let's do it. Let's wat...
